Description

Immortalised as the “James Bond watch” in the 1995 film Goldeneye, the history of the Omega Seamaster dates all the way back to 1948 when it debuted to mark Omega’s 100th anniversary.  Back then, the model was an instant best-seller, and it remains the oldest watch in Omega’s current catalogue. The original Omega Seamaster was modeled after the waterproof wristwatches worn by the British military in World War II. The feature that distinguished the Seamaster from its diving predecessors was its O-ring gasket which greatly improved its water-resistance.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M ticks all the right boxes when it comes to an everyday luxury sports watch. It’s a robust diving instrument that has become a fan-favourite amongst watch enthusiasts across the globe. Since the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M was first released by Omega in 2005, it has been an instant icon and is widely acknowledged as one of the best dive watches on the planet. While the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M watch was brand new at the time, this line was built upon the Seamaster legacy and even features some subtle design traits that serve as a nod to the original Seamaster 300 from 1957.
